Citations could be coming to your curb | News

Residents in Stillwater may find themselves facing a fine depending on what is at your curb.

The City of Stillwater announced that it will begin writing $35 citations to residents who do not move their blue cart from the street after trash is collected.

Officials say those trash bins can be put out at the curb up to 12 hours before trash day.

However, the carts also need to be put away before the end of the day, after your trash has been collected.

The Code Enforcement Division of the City of Stillwater Police Department will issue warnings on the carts for a couple of weeks before those $35 citations will be handed out.
