University creates business program for veterans | Business
A local university is hosting a program specifically for veterans looking to expand their horizons to the world of small businesses.
Oklahoma State University is offering the "Veterans With Disabilities Entrepreneurship Program" to local veterans.
Organizers say the program offers expert training in entrepreneurship and small business management to help veterans whose career in the military has been ended because of an injury or disability.
The class will introduce participants to specific ideas and concepts, along with showing how to apply those concepts to potential businesses.
The program is offered entirely free to qualified veterans who are accepted into the program.
In addition to learning those skills, attendees will also receive 24 Continuing Education Credits from Oklahoma State University Spears School of Business School of Entrepreneurship.
Applications are being accepted until October 1, 2011 and admission notices will be sent beginning November 1, 2011.
